Here’s the process you can expect when working with Clay Imports to customize your tiles:

Please provide us with details about the tile design you have in mind. What colors are you considering? Do you have a specific pattern in mind? What size of tiles would be most suitable for your project? How many square feet of tiles do you need for your project?

Our product development team at Clay Imports will review the details of your project and provide suggestions on how to best meet your expectations in terms of color options, sizes, finishes, lead times, and pricing.

Clay Imports will produce sample tiles based on the specifications of your project, depending on the complexity of the custom tile.

Once you approve prototypes, we are ready to produce your full tile order :)

Here’s an overview of the different levels of customization available for tiles at Clay Imports:

Combine existing shapes and colors within our various solid shape collections. Order samples of your preferred colors and corresponding shapes for your project.

Perfectly imperfect, our vintage shapes and colors are produced in the traditional talavera tradition. Characteristics include high variation of gem toned glaze colors and hand pressed shapes.

Handcrafted with care featuring refined clay shapes and our largest variety of matte and gloss color options.

We took the love and appreciation for terracotta a step further by applying unique and colorful glazes to traditional terracotta! Glazed terracotta features a naturally textured surface with two texture level options, smooth or distressed!

With Pattern Customization, you can select to use an existing pattern with different colors or create a completely new pattern for your relief or printed clay tiles. You can view color and existing pattern samples for all customizable pattern collections. It is recommended that you order a Sample Kit of your custom pattern tile, which includes 4 pieces of your unique tile.

We offer a wide range of customization options with our printed pattern matte clay tile. With a total of 48 colors to choose from, you can mix and match to find the perfect combination for your project. All of our printed patterns are customizable, or you can create a completely unique pattern for a truly one-of-a-kind look. The possibilities are endless!

Every piece of fresh relief tile is handmade with attention to detail and quality. Our Fresh Series features a range of vibrant glaze color options to pick from, as well as two wax line options. You can customize any of the Fresh patterns, or create your own unique pattern. With so many options available, you can easily create the perfect look for your space with our Fresh Relief tile.

We offer custom shapes in three materials: Terracotta, Glazed Terracotta, and Handmade Clay. Custom sizing is a key part of our process, but there may be limitations depending on the material you choose.
